The Beaumont-Wilshire neighborhood is in actuality two separate neighborhoods separated by NE Fremont Street, with Beaumont to the south and Wilshire to the north. The two neighborhoods agreed to form the Beaumont-Wilshire Neighborhood Association to recognize their common interests, including their common commercial center of Beaumont Village.

Wilshire includes Wilshire Park, a 14 acre park with a canopy of mature trees, playgrounds, dog park, jogging path and picnic facilities.

The Alberta Arts District, Beaumont Village and the shops along NE 33rd and Killingworth provide this centrally located residential area with many amenities and community gathering places.

Beaumont is a family oriented community in the heart of Northeast. Beaumont-Wilshire is an older, well established neighborhood with a strong sense of community. It has a nice mix of residential and commercial property. The main road through Beaumont-Wilshire neighborhood is NE Fremont Street, and the primary commercial focus is “Beaumont Village”, between NE 33rd and NE 50th with many local businesses. This corridor has a pedestrian friendly and welcoming feel to it with it’s restaurants, bars and boutiques.

Wilshire Park is a popular green space. On N.E. 33rd Ave., just north of N.E. Fremont, it features a jogging path, picnic tables, soccer and softball fields and children’s playground.

Located in northeast Portland is the quant urban neighborhood of Beaumont-Wilshire. This is a neighborhood with a residential and commerical mix. Beaumont-Wilshire is actually two neighborhoods that decided to join together for their common interests with Beaumont Village, the main shopping district joining the two together. Beaumont Village has been considered a quiet shopping district but, due to the recent boom in growth it has become much more bustling than quiet. 

There is plenty of opportunity to enjoy the outdoors, Beaumont-Wilshire is very walkable with nearby shops and places to enjoy a bite to eat or cup of coffee. Grant Park, Fernhill Park and Wilshire Park have a variety of amenities to offer such as both paved and unpaved paths, a track, baseball, softball and soccer fields to enjoy some competitive sports, basketball and tennis court, a horseshoe pit, a fountain and splash pad, picnic area and shelter, playground and accessible play area, public art and an off-leash dog area. 

Transportation in Beaumont-Whilshire is convenient with I-5 nearby, it only takes approximately 15 minutes to get to downtown Portland. TriMet offers several bus routes to make travel to various areas in and around Beaumont-Whilshire easy. Travelling by bike is made safe and easy with Portland's bike routes.

Portland Public Schools serves the residents of Beaumont-Wilshire with wonderful educational opportunities. According to, Grant High School received an exceptional 9/10 rating, Alameda Elementary School received an 8/10 rating, Beverly Cleary School and Sabin Elementary School received a 6/10 rating and Beaumont Middle received received a below average rating of 3/10. Luckily, Beaumont-Wilshire residents are offered some the better schools the district has to offer.
