According to Greatschools.org, Lake Oswego Senior High School and Westridge Elementary School were bestowed with a 10/10 rating, Forest Hills Elementary School, Lake Oswego Junior High School and Lakeridge High School were all given a 9/10 rating and Hallinan Elementary was given a 7/10 rating. Lake Oswego has some of the best schools in the state to offer the residents of First Addition.
Rossman Park is the neighborhood park for First Addition, beautifully landscaped .6 acre park that offers amenities such as a covered picnic area, half court basketball, playground and tot lot play area, paths, picnic tables and benches, it is handicap accessible and an open lawn. Tryon Creek State Natural Area is 658 acres of forests to enjoy and explore with wildlife to discover. There are eight miles of hiking trails with multiple bridges and a boardwalk over the wetland, the Trillium Trail is a .3 mile trail that was specifically designed for people of all abilities. Gravel trails for horses to take their owners along the ridgeline, down to the creek and back in the 3.5 miles of trails available specifically for equestrians to safely travel with their human cargo. The 3 miles of paved bicycle paths is part of the 40-mile Portland metropolitan area bikeway.
