Battle Ground Village is more like its only little city versus a subdivision offering plenty of shopping, dining, locally run businesses and even a new library. Battle Ground is one of the fastest growing communities in Washington, located only about eleven miles from Vancouver. Residents of Battle Ground enjoy living in a rural area while still being conveniently close to the city. There are several parks and fields that host both youth and adult sports leagues. Home to three wineries for the adults to enjoy as well as a tasting room. However, Battle Ground Village offers so much more than a standard subdivision with a unique self sufficent vibe.
Battle Ground also has an abundance of outdoor recreation close by to satisfy everyone's interest. Mt. St. Helen is ideal for hiking and climbing enthusiasts, not to mention the stunning scenery. Ape Caves offer 2.5 miles of mineral formations and includes a lava fall and forested trails surrounding the caves. Lewisville Park is a great place for family gatherings offering hiking, recreational areas and picnic areas. Cedars Golf Course for the golf lover. Battle Ground Lake for kayaking, paddle boarding and fishing. There is definitely something for everyone in this area.

Battle Ground Village residents are served by the Battle Ground School District for their public education needs. According to Greatschools.org, the Battle Ground Public School District ratings are mostly average with a few that are above average and a couple of stragglers that were given below average ratings. Tukes Valley Middle School was given an above average rating of 7/10. Battle Ground High School and Daybreak Primary School were given ratings of 6/10, Chief Umtuch Middle School, Captain Strong, Daybreak Middle School and Prairie High School with a 5/10 rating and falling behind to a below average ratings Laurin Middle School with a 4/10 rating and Maple Grove and Tukes Valley Primary School a mere 3/10 rating.

The Crossings Townhomes are also offered in Battle Ground Village for the 55+ community. These homes are within walking distance to shopping, dining, the Community Library and other amenities. It is important to note that this 55+ community does not have a medical component offered. This community is meant for active older adults with no income limitations required. The homes are 2 or 3 bedroom, 2.5 baths and range in size from 1,160 to 1,479 square feet. Depending on the townhome you select, there is direct access to the home from the one or two car garage. Each home is has a front porch and all landscaping is included in your monthly payment. A full appliance package is included supplying occupants with washer, dryer, range, refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher. Plus residents are able to enjoy the amenities offered at the sister property The Crossings Apartments.
The Crossings offers apartment living for 55+, active adults, again there is not a medical component offered and there is no income limitation to become a resident. The homes offered are a studio apartment that is approximately 426 square feet, a 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom that is approximately 564 square feet or a 2 bedroom and 1.5 bathroom that is approximately 802 square feet. These are similar to The Crossings Townhomes but, in a more compact package. The amenities that are offered to The Crossings residents are also available to The Crossings Townhomes, which include free Wi-Fi, a business center, and indoor and outdoor community services. The residents do have storage available, as well as assigned parking and an onsite manager for 24/7 emergency maintenance.
