With Halloween only a week a way, it’s definitely time to check out the local haunts!
While I personally wouldn’t step foot in any of these attractions, Portland has a huge variety of scary spots for those who enjoy that rush of adrenaline that can only come from getting scared half to death. Most of these attractions are for adults, please check websites for suggested ages!
LAST YEAR for The 13th Door’s Haunted House at The Old Regal Cinema
The theater will be torn down this year so this is the last year for this event at this location. Cost is $15.00 for the Haunted House, $5.00 for the flashlight ghost tours.

Milburn Manor
Rated on of the top scares by locals, Milburn Manor features two haunted attractions: The Haunted Manor and the Wicked-Wood Forest. Children are only allowed in with parental consent. This family owned establishment dedicated to providing you a truly scary “classic” haunted house experience. This year we have taken our expertise in scare-ology outside with the new addition of Wicked-Wood Forest attraction. The night time “moonlight” pumpkin patch is back again this year providing you a different kind of gourd shopping adventure.
Located at, 11503 Broadacres Rd NE in Hubbard, Oregon (about 30 minutes outside of downtown Portland) Open through the 31st. Cost is$8 for one attraction, $15 for both.
Scream At the Beach (Janzten Beach Center)
Open from October 31st. This is the largest, scariest, top rated, and most popular Halloween event in the Northwest, offering more haunted houses, more live shows and more scary entertainment than anywhere this side of “the other side”. Admission to any single attraction is $8 each, or $6 with a discount coupon, but see Screamer Special for best bargain. Prices are per person, ages 6 & up. NOT Recommended for young children. Portland Memorial Coliseum at the Rose Quarter “Fright Town”
Open October 31st, FrightTown is one of Pacific Northwest’s most terrifying good times, with three haunted houses beneath the Portland Memorial Coliseum. Admission to FrightTown at the Rose Quarter is $20 for all ages, which gets you into Baron Von Goolo’s Museum of Horrors, Elshoff Manor and the Black Box. AHS Haunted House
Located at 5309 NE Alameda, Portland, OR 97213,. Volunteers have created this scary Haunted House in the basement of a church and school for the last 32 years! Guides lead you through a vortex, witches den and more. We can’t give away all the secrets! Not recommended for kids under 9. Buy refreshments and play carnival games while you wait. Open October 28 & 29, 2005, 7-11pm. Tickets are $7.50.
Sandy Mountain Festival Annual Spook Trail
Join the Sandy Mountain Festival October 28 through October 30 at 13220 SE 362nd Ave, Boring for the annual Spook Trail.

The Haunted woods are located at 13220 SE 362nd Ave, Boring, just east of Kelso Grade School. From Gresham take Highway 26 towards Sandy, turn left at the Kelso Road exit, going North. Follow Kelso road to 362nd Ave. Take a Left on 362nd and go approximately one-half a mile, the Spook Trail is on the right. From Sandy, go North on Bluff road past the High School. Follow Bluff to Kelso road and turn left. Go down to 362nd Ave and turn right. The Spook Trail is approximately one-half a mile on the right.

Halloween Fear Haunted House on Old Scholls Ferry Road
Located at 6225 SW Old Scholls Ferry Road. Portland, OR 97223, This is a home haunt with a three car garage maze, walk through yard haunt and singing prop band. They are accepting all canned and non-perishable foods that will be part of a Scare Away Hunger drive for the Oregon Food Bank. Open October 27th through the 31st. The admission cost has not been announced.
House of Midnight, Haunted Attractions
Located in Wilsonville: 29111 SW Town Center Loop West , Wilsonville, OR 97070, Open through the 31st. Two haunts, Hatchett House and the Forest of Fears; appropriate for ages 13 and older. Cost is $8 for one haunt, and $14 for two.
Quicksilver Haunted House
Located in Vancouver, at 10505 NE 117th Avenue, Vancouver, WA 98622, open October 28th through the 31st- 3,000 sq.ft of fun and thrilling Haunted Madness. The Haunted House is a multiple room, actor involved Haunt, which is in its third year of operation. Tours are guided and can be toned down for your group (If desired) and younger children. Haunted House is at the Clark County Saddle Club.. $5.00 person. Free parking.
The Haunted Farm at Jim Dandy Farm Market
Located at 45770 NW Sunset Hwy, Banks, OR 97106, this haunted maze is open from October through the 30th. Hours are Friday & Saturday 6:30-10;00, Sun 6:30-9:00. It will not be open Halloween night. Features include high- tech special effects that will scare you out of your wits. Witch farm house, graveyard and more. Light show. Cost is $8 adults, $6 for kids 12 and under.
Washougal’s Haunted Cabin
This is a yard display located at 730 9th St, Washougal, WA 98671.The yard display is available for viewing every afternoon and evening in October. Starting on Friday the 13th and continuing through the remaining Friday and Saturday nights in October, the fun house maze will be open dusk till 10pm and open, of course, on Halloween evening also. The fun house maze is suitable for all ages, with no actors relying entirely on mechanical scares to keep you on edge, most of which were built by the homeowner himself. This is a free event!
