Irvington

Irvington’s neighbors include the Alameda, Elliot, Grant Park, King, Lloyd Center, Sabin, and Sullivan’s Gulch neighborhoods.

In the early 1900s, upper middle class Portlanders built substantial Irvington houses in the styles common to the period—Arts and Crafts, Craftsman, Colonial Revival, Prairie Style, Bungalow. Today, the neighborhood is distinguished by a number of large stately homes, often positioned on multiple or oversized lots. The Irvington Community Association funds its acitivies by holding a well-attended tour of these homes each spring
